It seems only fitting that James Jensen has chosen to portray the Los Angeles Temple in its evening glory, when the light is at its most spectacular and the glowing sunset brings to mind the fortitude of the pioneers who followed their faith to the West. Indeed, this is the determination embodied by all who seek our Heavenly Father's direction in our lives. Coincidentally, the release of this limited edition hand-embellished image coincides with the Temple's 50th anniversary. Additionally, the Los Angeles Temple boasts several structural and historical features which make it as unique as the shining metropolis which it calls home:
- The Los Angeles Temple is located on the famed Santa Monica Boulevard in West Los Angeles.
- The land for this impressive structure was purchased from the Harold Lloyd Motion Picture Company in 1937.
- The Temple grounds are home to an impressive display of exotic foliage, as well as fountains, a reflecting pool and a collection of family-themed statuary.
What an appropriate tribute, then, to an extraordinary Temple in the City of Angels, heralding all who seek towards the future of both Church and family!
